Addicks Take On Rangers

Charlton hope to extend their lead at the summit of Professional Development League 2 South when they visit London rivals Queens Park Rangers.

Jason Euell’s side currently top the League 2 South table with 38 points, with 15 points separating them and Rangers who occupy seventh place in the League table.

Charlton go into the game following a 4-0 win over Ipswich Town last  Monday. Another win for them will see them extend their lead to six points over Cardiff City.

Hat-trick

The Addicks comfortably put four past Ipswich last week thanks to a Josh Umerah goal on the 38th minute and a hat-trick from Mikhail Kennedy. Kennedy scored twice within three minutes and his third goal was beautifully orchestrated. When the ball was teed up for him from a free-kick, the Northern Irishman belted an stoppable shot which flew straight through the Ipswich wall an into the net.

The most recent encounter between Charlton and the Queen Park Rangers ended 2-1 in favour of the Addicks back in October when Brandon Hanlan and Josh Parker were both on the scoring sheet for the Addicks. Euell will hope his youngsters can deliver the results that will confirm their status as favourites to defend the League title they won last year.
