Billericay Look Tricky For Romford

Romford welcome in-form Billericay Town to Ship Lane for a third-round clash in the Essex Senior Cup on Wednesday evening, as Jack Cronin reports.

Currently 20th in the Ryman Division North, Romford are 38 league positions below the Blues; who are currently fifth in the Ryman Premier table only eight points behind leaders Bognor Regis Town, with 15 games played.

Billericay are five games unbeaten in all competitions, following a 2-0 league win against Grays Athletic on Saturday.

Paul Martin will however hope to capitalise on a positive period in their campaign, having lost only one in five, sharing points with Dereham in the most recent encounter at Ship Lane.

The Boro will also buoyed by the confirmation of new signings Tarren Dhariwal and James Age, following a successful trails match last month.

This fixture sees the last of the round-three ties. The draw for the fourth round will be broadcast on BBC Essex at around 5:30pm on Wednesday 9th November. You can listen to BBC Essex on digital/DAB radio or by visiting www.bbc.co.uk/Essex.
