Boro Bring in Two New Additions

Dimarli-Morrison Facer runs the rule over new arrivals.

Manager Paul Martin has brought in two news players, centre back Charlie Parish and striker Abdul Abdeen.

Parish, who has been a regular at Redbridge FC who play one tier lower than Romford in the Essex Senior Premier League, impressed Martin in his first few sessions. Speaking to the club’s website, Martin said Parish is “good in the air and on the ball. Charlie will provide cover at centre back.’

Abdeen has similarly caught the eye. “He can play on the wing or up front as a striker, and at 6ft 3 is likely to cause some problems for oppositions,” Martin said.

Abdeen also has an impressive CV to go alongside his ability and has played for Johnstown FC from 2006-2012, then Parkvilla FC, an Irish semi-professional side between 2013-15 scoring 41 goals in the process, and most recently Ryman Premier League side Billericay Town, where he spent the duration of the 2015-16 season.

Both players are eligible and were involved in Romford’s recent 2-1 victory over Witham Town
