Busted No More

Emma Brand can’t help being excited about the Busted reunion tour.

It was the day people up and down the country had been waiting for.

The day Busted announced their reunion: Busted are fixed and coming to East London next year.

On 10 November 2015 they finally announced they would be coming back as a three-piece.  After nearly 11 years apart, Charlie Simpson will be joining Matt Willis and James Bourne for a reunion tour entitled Meet You There.

The itinerary concludes with two dates at East London’s O2 Arena – 27 May and 28 May 2016.

The tour starts on 11 May 2016 at Wembley Arena – the very last venue they played before the split was announced in January 2005.

Meet You There will take Busted to 13 arenas around the UK.  They will be performing all their old hits on tour, though fans are hoping for new songs, too.

The rumour that Charlie Simpson was going to rejoin the band first surfaced on 5 October. This was followed by a new photo featuring the silhouettes of all three band members.

They are thought to have agreed to the reunion tour at a summertime secret meeting in Philadelphia, which was followed by four days in a recording studio.

The band was originally formed in 2000 by guitarist James Bourne. Busted first came to prominence in Smash Hits in August 2002. Their first single ‘That’s What I Go To School For followed in September of that year.

Before the split in 2005 Busted achieved four No 1 singles, two albums, five million record sales and a run of 12 sold-out Wembley Arena shows.
