Winless in eight

Karl Robinson’s side will be hoping to put an end to their awful run of form which has seen the the club collect just three points from their last eight games.

Scunthorpe themselves are experiencing a torrid time as of late, without a win in their last seven fixtures. Their recent run has seen Graham Alexander’s side fall off the pace in the race for automatic promotion.

Solly returns

The Addicks look set to welcome back defender Chris Solly to the starting line-up following a three-match suspension while centre-back Patrick Bauer (illness) could also return to the back four as the south-east London outfit look to secure only their third win of 2017.

Left-back Lewis Page is due to be assessed prior to the 19:45 kick-off after picking up a knock-on Saturday against Shrewsbury.

Scunthorpe have no fresh injury issues ahead of their trip to The Valley as Graham Alexander will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

History

The two sides have locked horns on two occasions this season, with the honours even in a goalless draw in the September fixture before Charlton comfortably dispatched Scunthorpe 3-1 in the FA Cup first round in November.

With both sides desperate to bounce back from their recent disappointing displays, it should make for an interesting clash.
