In-Form O’S Face Red-Hot Cambridge

Lucy Huggins looks forward to what promises to be a thrilling cup tie.

This weekend Leyton Orient Women will be playing at home at the Mile End Stadium, taking on Cambridge FC Ladies in the FA Cup.

The O’s have started the season brightly in the league winning all seven games to top the table with 21 points and with a goal difference of 42. They will be hoping this form continues into this weekend’s game against Cambridge.

Cambridge City Ladies also have some bragging rights going into this game after winning the S-Tech Premier League. They also won the League and Cup double at their first attempt and in their first season playing Ladies football.

The visitors are now are in the Division One of the Eastern Region Women’s Football League which makes this tie more of an even match and fans can expect to see good standard of football from both sides.

The O’s biggest win this season was the 16-0 home thrashing of Ascot United.

Cambridge City Ladies are having an excellent start to the season as well. They’ve continued with their perfect start notching up their seventh straight league win against second-placed Wymondham Town.

After a spectacular 12-0 win against Fulham F.C Foundation the O’s will bringing their own scintillating form o the fixture.
