Robert Clack School and All Saints School are due to compete tomorrow in the very first Barking and Dagenham borough secondary schools cup final, hosted by Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club.

Both secondary schools, located only a couple hundred yards apart in the same RM8 post code, will make the short 1.4 mile journey to Victoria Road after the final school bell rings on Tuesday afternoon.

The soon-to-be Year 11 school leavers will enjoy their final sports game together as they trade shin pads and boots for pens and calculators with the GCSE exam period looming after the Easter break.

The cup competition, sponsored by Dagenham & Redbridge football club, has had a successful inaugural season. With the competition’s association with a professional football club, schoolkids across the London borough have regularly received free first-team match tickets as well as being given the chance to train with the Daggers academy squads.
