Celebrity fashion stylist Kanayo Ebi teamed up with Pop Up Africa, creator of ‘Africa at Spitalfields’, to launch The Kach It Project in Stratford this weekend.

On its first outing, the Kach It Project showcased a collection of designers and brands all inspired by Africa.

Showroom designers included Ezie, Innocente Messy and RAAAH/Rahima Mohamed Couture whose pieces have been worn by celebrities Erykah Badu, Angela and Vanessa Simmons, Maria Borges, Leslie Grace, Pearl Thusi, Sanya Richards-Ross and more. The event also included London based art and fashion labels, live entertainment and West African food.

Kanayo said: “I couldn’t think of a better partnership than joining forces with Pop Up Africa for my showroom’s first ever event in London. We’re excited to showcase and debut some of our designers’ new spring/summer 2017 collections and of course work alongside some of the UK’s most talented and emerging brands. There’s certainly something here for everyone.”

The free event took place on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 March 2017 at the new digital art space Red Yellow Blue in East Village, Stratford.
