Millwall Lionesses return to league action this weekend as they welcome the arrival of Oxford United to St Paul’s Sports Ground.

Last time out Millwall Lionesses took on London Bees in the Continental Tyres Cup, emerging winners in a seven-goal thriller at The Hive. Rianna Dean, Ellie Mason and Ashlee Hincks all hit the back of the net for Millwall, whilst Jo Wilson and Destiney Toussaint scored for London Bees.

Meanwhile in Oxford United’s last game they faced highflying WSL 1 side Manchester City in the same competition, but were unable to create an upset as Manchester City left as 6-0 winners.

Unbeaten

The last time these two sides met was back in April during the WSL Spring Series competition. Millwall Lionesses came out 2-0 winners that day with Ella Rutherford and Bonnie Horwood on the scoresheet.

In the league Millwall Lionesses are on good form this season, winning three games and drawing one and will look to continue their unbeaten league run on Sunday.

Their opponents started off the season strong with two wins and two draws, but have not won a game since October 1st.

Millwall’s Rianna Dean will be looking to get another goal for herself, after scoring her first competitive goal for The Lionesses against London Bees at the weekend.

Captain, and top scorer in all competitions, Ashlee Hincks will be wanting to add to her tally of five for the season.

At the other end of the pitch goalkeeper Sarah Quantrill and her defence will be looking to secure the Lionesses’ first clean sheet this term.

Kick-off is 2pm.
