Connor Mackay previews London Lions’ search for redemption against Worcester Wolves, following a tough loss in their last home game.

Tensions will be high for the London Lions, determined to make amends for a defeat in their previous home game. They somehow allowed Surrey Scorchers to erase a 25 point deficit and come away with the victory.

Alex Owumi and Demond Watt were the only positives for the Lions, scoring 22 and 14 points. However this wasn’t enough to prevent an unlikely win for the visitors. A similar performance will be needed from the Owumi and Watt if the Lions are to win against the Wolves.

The London side will also need to improve their defensive display in order to climb the BBL league table and have a favourable seed in the playoffs. Worcester are currently third in the league with 30 points, three places above the Lions.

The game also has special significance for Lions’ forwards, Jamal and Kai Williams as they play against their former team who they won the BBL championship with in the 2013/2014 season.

Both Williams brothers moved to the Lions in September 2015 and they will be looking to get a win over their former teammates and get the London side back to winning ways.

The game will take place on Tuesday 16th February 7:30pm at the CopperBox Arena.
