Sead Dizdarevic previews the next challenge for the London Lions…

London Lions, fresh from their 186-142 aggregate BBL Play-offs quarter-final triumph over the Worcester Wolves, now look to overcome the Cheshire Phoenix over two legs to make the final on May 10th at the O2 Arena.

The Lions will be hoping for a similar performance to their last one at the Copper Box Arena: Zaire Taylor scored 41 points but they also scored in the paint through their big men and perimeter shooting which has been successful for them this season.

Despite losing their second-leg game against the Glasgow Rocks, opponents Cheshire Phoenix had done enough to progress with an aggregate score of 177-165. The Cheshire side have caused problems for the Lions during the regular season beating them twice in three match-ups. Forward Taylor King scored a game high 26 points in defeat and should he have a good game he will cause problems.

However, the Lions will again be looking to make a statement and will be trying to seek revenge for the regular season defeats.

The first leg will be played at the Copper Box Arena on Friday 1st May with a tip-off time of 7.30pm.
