London GD ready for all four EHA cup finals

For the first time in history, all London GD teams managed to get through to the EHA cup finals.

While the men and women’s first teams will play in their respective National Cups, the seconds will feature in the League Cup.

The National Cup finals will be played 16th May at the Copper Box Arena, while the League Cup finals will take place at the Trafford Soccerdome in Manchester 6th June.

London GD’s women’s firsts beat Deva 30-7 at SportHouse, while final opponent Coventry beat trophy-holders Olympia 30-29 in a nerve-wrecking encounter with two extra times.

The men’s firsts beat Manchester 33-22 away from home, and will be facing their main title rival, Warrington Wolves, in the final.

As for the League Cup, Newcastle Vikings beat Bristol 15-11 to get to the final, while London GD’s women’s seconds secured their place by beating London Angels II 24-20.

The men’s seconds comfortably won 31-19 over Eastbourne away from home, while final opponents Cranfield won 39-12 over Bolton.
