Millwall are back in action this Saturday when they welcome second from bottom Burton Albion to The Den in the EFL Championship.

These two sides last met back in League One during the 2015/16 season, with both sides winning their home games. In December 2015 Burton won the game 2-0, whilst in March 2016 Millwall won 2-1, with Aiden O’Brien and Lee Gregory on the score sheet.

Losing Streak

Both teams will go in to the game on the back of losses. Millwall recently lost to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, whilst their opponents Burton lost 4-2 at home to fellow strugglers Barnsley.

Millwall sit in 17th with 17 points after 15 games and remain just above the relegation zone, and seven points above Saturdays opponents. The Lions will be looking to learn lessons from their last game and improve their general form (LLWDL).

Burton will be desperate for a win to start pulling them out of relegation zone as they remain two points off safety. The Brewers are currently on abysmal form and their league position (23rd) reflects this (LDLLL).

Tom Elliott, who scored during the week on his first return to the starting line-up since August, will be hoping to keep his place to add to his tally for the season.

Crucial Points

Millwall will be without defender Jake Cooper for the game after receiving a red card against on Tuesday.

This game will be vital for The Lions to pick up three points if they are to try and create breathing space between themselves and the relegation zone.

Kick-off is at 3pm.
