Orient Look to Seal Another Win

Sam Few looks ahead to Orient's game against struggling Chester on Tuesday night, as the O's aim to build on their promising away form.

Leyton Orient will be hoping for a third consecutive away league victory when they travel to struggling Chester at the Swansway Chester Stadium on Tuesday night.

The O’s go into the game having secured an excellent three points with a 1-0 win at promotion hopefuls AFC Fylde on Saturday. Macauley Bonne’s 42nd minute penalty made all the difference and subjected the hosts to their first home loss since September.

Justin Edinburgh’s side sit in 16th place with 39 points winning 10, drawing nine and losing 14 games this season. Orient are six points clear of the relegation zone and 13 adrift of the play-offs with as many league games remaining.

The Visitors:

As for Chester, they will be looking to make it back-to-back home league victories having claimed a crucial 3-1 win over Eastleigh on Saturday.

Ross Hannah gave The Seals the lead on 19 minutes, but Mark Yeates levelled almost immediately for the visitors. A second for Hannah and last-minute goal from James Akintunde gave Chester their first win in five league matches.

Marcus Bignot’s side occupy 22nd place and sit five points adrift of safety. They have collected 30 points winning six, drawing 12 and losing 15 matches this season.

Ones to Watch:

For Orient, the club’s top scorer Macauley Bonne will be desperate to add to his tally of 16 league goals this season. He is the league’s joint second-highest goalscorer, two behind AFC Fylde’s Danny Rowe. Bonne has scored in five of his last six appearances in the league and cup and will fancy his chances of finding the net again tomorrow night.

For Chester, Ross Hannah is the club’s top scorer with eight league goals this season. After bagging a brace against Eastleigh at the weekend, and having scored in the reverse fixture against Orient, Hannah’s eye for goal will be needed if the Cheshire club are to get a result from this game.
