Leyton Orient Manager, Danny Webb praised his players saying, “They gave it their all”, after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Carlisle at The Matchroom Stadium.

The East-Londoners started brighter of the two teams when Gavin Massey gave the hosts the lead with his second goal in three games for the O’s in the 25th minute.

The visitors managed to keep themselves in the game after an unmarked Gary Liddle tapped home before the half interval.

In the 68th minute, Carlisle’s, George Waring headed on target forcing Sam Sargeant to palm the ball into the path of Jamie Proctor, who tapped home a simple winner.

Looking Forward

Leyton Orient manager Danny Webb told Rising East that he was pleased with his players, considering the short amount of time he’s had with them.

‘’They gave it their all. It’s not perfect, that’s why we’re second from bottom, but there were certainly a lot of positives to take into Tuesday against Morecambe.’’

The defeat keeps Leyton Orient in a delicate position near the bottom of the League Two.

However, a draw on Tuesday against Morecambe will see them move out of the relegation zone, moving ahead of Notts County on goal difference.
