Jahin Mohammed previews Sunday's fixture agains Queen Mary University

After a long Christmas break, the UEL Phoenix will be back in action on Sunday January 21st against Queen Mary University.

The Phoenix have won two out of three games so far with their only defeat coming against Queen Mary in the reverse fixture in a thrilling encounter in which they lost 30-32.

Optimism

Quarterback Jeremy Snyder was positive when asked about their upcoming encounter. “We are extremely excited for this Sunday’s match vs Queen Mary. This game has been highly anticipated for us due to the cancellation of the game before the Christmas break. We understand the implications for this game and are ready to go compete.”

League Standings

Before the Christmas break, the Phoenix ended the first half of the season on a high as they defeated Greenwich University 21-0. The victory was also their first shutout this season.

They currently sit second in the league and are four points behind division leaders Queen Mary. A win would put them within two points of the leaders.
