Phoenix Still Fighting For Division Title

Jahin Mohammed previews UEL Phoenix's crunch next game

It was a disappointing defeat for the UEL Phoenix as they lost 0-6 to Anglia Ruskin University. UEL were on a three-match unbeaten run before Sunday’s defeat.

Playoff Hopeful

Despite the loss, the Phoenix still sit second in the division trailing Queen Mary University by two points.

With just two fixtures remaining in the season, the Phoenix will be doing everything they can to secure the division title. Their penultimate game is against the University of Essex, a team they just about beat last month.

Reflection

Quarterback Jeremy Snyder spoke about last week’s defeat: “We are looking forward to bouncing back this week. We are going to learn from our mistakes and just go to work. We have to grind it out these next two games by training hard while also putting an emphasis taking care of our bodies in this latter part of the season. We looking to finish the regular season with a hopeful playoff push.”

It’s clear that the defeat against Anglia Ruskin is already off their minds as they prepare for their next game which can make or break their season.
