The UEL Titans will be in action on the 27th November against the Essex Blades. The Titans were originally scheduled to face Anglia Ruskin but that match was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Titans vs. Blades

The match-up against the Essex Blades will be the first ever meeting between the two sides.

Essex were also unable to play against Anglia Ruskin on the weekend of 12th November as there weren’t enough players to participate which is rumored as the reason why they had to postpone the game against UEL too.

Essex currently sit 6th in the division having lost to Canterbury Christ Church 14-6. They have lost 4 out of their last 5 games with their only victory coming against Anglia Ruskin early on in the year.

Struggling Opponent

Last year Essex finished 3rd in the South East 2A division behind Oxford and Canterbury Christ Church. A win against a relatively new UEL side would be a morale boost, but the Titans will have their own plans.

Both UEL and Essex were originally scheduled to meet on 29th January, which would have meant a home game for the Titans, but those plans were changed following the postponement of the Anglia Ruskin match.

It’s still unclear as to which team will be play home, but it is safe to say that the first game of the season will be charged with emotion.
