Ryan Walmsley reports on a new signing…
Bromley have announced the signing of last season’s top goalscorer Bradley Goldberg on loan until the end of the season.
The striker notched 23 goals in 42 league appearances in the previous campaign which won him the Conference South golden boot and the league’s Player of the Year award.
Goldberg started out his career at the Ravens as a youngster before making the move to neighbours Charlton, but has since moved to Dagenham and Redbridge where he signed a new one-year-deal with the East London outfit in the summer.
The 21-year-old has failed to nail down a starting place at Victoria Road which led a loan spell at Conference side Bristol Rovers, but Goldberg failed to score in his seven appearances for the Gas. By Goldberg’s own admission his performances have not been good enough, so a return to a familiar setting may be the catalyst to reignite last season’s prolific form.
Co-chairman Ashley Reading told the official website: “I know I speak on behalf of the team, management and supporters when I say how thrilled we are to have Bradley back. Along with the other recent signings, Bradley is just what we wanted at this critical point of the campaign.”
The Ravens currently sit second in the Conference South despite losing their last three, and Bromley will be hoping that the addition of last season’s top goalscorer will help fire them to promotion.
