Sead Dizdarevic previews the weekend fixture…

Team GB’s women’s hockey team will be back at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the first time since the triumphant 2012 Olympic bronze medal match.

They will face Japan in the Investec Private Banking International at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on Sunday 26th April. Also this is the last opportunity that hockey fans will get to see Team GB play on British soil in 2015.

This should be a very entertaining match as it pits together the 2012 bronze medallists against the 10th best team in the world – and this could be the test that Danny Kerry’s team needs to aid their preparation for the 2016 Rio Olympics.

As well as the GB women’s match taking place at 3pm there will also be there will be plenty more hockey action taking place before that, with women’s masters games taking place from 9:30am.
