Connor MacKay reports on UEL Men’s Basketball to see if the firsts can maintain the winning formula
The BUCS 2015 Basketball season kicks off with the Men’s UEL first team playing Bath at Docklands.
The last time these two teams met UEL thrashed them by scoring 100 points.
The men’s first team had a phenomenal season in 2014. Going 10-0 in the regular season, they showed why they were top competitors amongst other universities.
They were knocked out as host of the Final 8 tournament at the quarter final stages by BUCS Basketball powerhouse, Durham, before overcoming Loughborough to finish fifth overall in the rankings.
This season the side is a blend of scholars and new faces, and they will be aiming to ensure another strong start to the campaign.
