Kieran Baldwin watched from the side-lines as London Titans 2nd team defeated Coventry Crusaders 60-44 to maintain their unbeaten run in the league.

Top shooters Jacob Robinson and Harry Blyth scored 22 and 20 points respectively to earn a comfortable win for the Titans.

The Titans took an early lead after Blyth scored the first points followed by two more from the free-throw line. The Titans’ solid defence forced the Crusaders to make a number of speculative attempts from just inside the three-point line and led to several turnovers. The titans ended the first quarter leading by seven points, 16-9.

The second quarter was a more closely matched affair with the Titans being kept at bay and not able to capitalise on their chances. The half ended 26-18.

Comfortable win

Jazz Dhani’s half time talk must has been quite something, as the Titans came out looking much more focused as they extended their lead by 15 points. The Titans were able to convert more of their possessions to put the game out of reach. In defence Megan Smith and Liam Basket were a formidable duo and restricted the Crusaders from getting back into the game.

In the final quarter the Titans stretched their lead by a further 15 points as the Crusaders failed to respond. The game ended 60-44 to the.

Speaking after the game, top point scorer on the day Jacob Robinson said:” I was happy to get the most points today but at the end of the day it was all about the win.

“The three games we’ve played this season have been relatively comfortable but we’ve also been impressive, and today was no different.”
