Titans Lose Head Coach

UEL Titans in action

Sebastian Liggenstorfer reports on the departure of American Football Head Coach Callum Mair.

Callum Mair has stepped down from his role as Titans Head Coach. Mair had led the team since the club’s formation in December 2014.

Defensive co-ordinator Greg Ivison has taken over in the coaching role, while Marty Terzic will be responsible for the offensive play calling.

It is believed that the main reason for Mair’s departure is the reduction in playing personnel. After Christmas, numbers began to drop at training sessions.

There are also claims that there have been ‘communication issues’ between Mair, the team committee, and senior players.

Rebuilding

The remaining coaches have confirmed they will stay and continue to develop the still relatively new team.

There will not be any changes on the defensive side for the rest of the season, but the offensive playbook will change with Terzic taking over.

The team will be looking for a positive impact on the offense, which has struggled with putting up points up all season.
