Title Fight Galore

Cage Warriors 92 at the 02 Arena is setting up to be one of the best MMA cards of 2018 already with three exciting title fights. Jarrel Brown reports.

Newly crowned Heavyweight champion Mauro Cerilli is set to defend his heavyweight strap against Karl Moore at Cage Warriors 92 in the 02 Arena. Moore who is the current Light-Heavyweight Champion will move up a division to challenge Cerilli for his own belt.

After confirmation that the current Cage Warriors Bantamweight Champion Nathaniel Wood would be returning to defend his title for the second time, UK fans are in for a treat as this event could be one of the biggest MMA events in Europe.

Fight Build-up

At Cage Warriors 89 in Belgium, Cerilli knocked out Nills Van Noord to win the vacant Cage Warriors Heavyweight Champion.

Nicknamed ‘The Hammer’, Cerilli’s record stands at 11-2 and is on a four-fight winning streak after his recent win in Belgium, having won three out of his four by knockout in very impressive fashion.

Moore, who trains out of Fight academy in Ireland, has a record of eight wins and one loss. He has fought against high-class fighters including Cyril Asker and Paul Craig who are now both in the UFC. His last loss was in 2015 and is currently on a three-fight win streak.

History Maker?

Moore has got the chance to become Cage Warriors’ two weight class champion like Conor McGregor back in 2012 gaining the Featherweight and Lightweight belts.

Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan commented on this big fight in a statement telling mmamfighting.com, “I’m sure a lot of people, including the UFC will be paying very close attention to him”. This is a huge opportunity for all the fighters who would be taking part on this stacked card.

Titles on the Line

Also featured on the card Nathaniel ‘The Prospect’ Wood is set to defend his Bantamweight title for the second time, after successfully defending his in London back in September.

As the Flyweight belt is vacant, Nathaniel Wood will fight Luca Iovine to be that champion at 125Ibs.

Cage Warriors ‘Super Saturday’ 92 will be hosted in the Indigo at the 02 arena on Saturday 24th of March 2018 in a highly anticipated event.
