Top-of-the-Table Clash

UEL women's Football team hope to extend their lead in the South Eastern League against their Rivals Canterbury CC 1st. Shella Tshela reports.

UEL women’s football team has had a great start in the league this season so far. Sitting at the top of the league table with 18 points, they have proved to be a tough opponent to play against this season. The UEL ladies haven’t lost any game since their last match 2017 playing against London School of Economics women’s 1st.

This Wednesday UEL will be playing with one of their toughest opponents Canterbury CC who are sitting second in the league table. They two teams have already played last year in October, where Canterbury CC 1st team suffered their first defeat of 2-8 to the UEL women’s football team.

Having both teams coming back for the holiday break and wanting to get back to winning ways UEL women’s will surely want to put a gap between them and the Canterbury.

FORM

Canterbury CC 1st women’s football team has been in great form this season having only lost one match since the start of the league, they have proved to have strengthened their team and have done a lot of good recruitment during the summer.

Last season saw them finish fifth in the league.

Team News

Neither side have any injuries that have been announced yet, both teams are more likely to have a full squad of players for the Wednesday game. Key player to UEL women’s team match will be Ellie Paris who looks to be in great form since the start of the season and she will certainly be the one one to ook out for in the league cup match.
