Tough Tie for Barking FC

Barking FC will host FC Romania at Mayesbrook Park on Tuesday on the back of a strong 5-3 win over Sporting Bengal United in the Essex Senior League last weekend, as Shella Tshela reports.

The win over Sporting Bengal saw Barking extend their lead at the of the Essex Senior Football League table. The Blues are currently undefeated in their last five games in the league and are favourites to win the title this season.

FC Romania on the other hand are currently sitting at fourth in the league table, with mixed performances and inconsistent results. They have found a bit of a purple patch, and are also undefeated in their last five fixtures. Their biggest recent win came against Burnham Ramblers FC as they stormed to a 5-2 victory.

Punished

The last time Barking FC and FC Romania met in the league it ended 5-2 in favour of the Blues back in January. Despite FC Romania putting on a great performance against Barking, it was Joseph Pearman, Ben Higgs, Petrit Elbi and James Peagram grabbing the goals for the that punished Romania.

Neither team has any injury issues and both have a full squad of players at their disposal. The game will be a big test for a strong Barking; if they manage to win against FC Romania they will be looking for their fourth consecutive win and to extend their lead in the league.

FC Romania will also be looking to a win as it could see them move third in the league table and also to close the gap with Southend Manor FC who are currently sitting second in theĀ  table.
