UEL Aiming For Top Spot

Anna Rota previews UEL’s tussles with Sussex.

UEL Volleyball Women’s 1sts face Sussex this Wednesday in what promises to be an exciting game.

UEL have looked in great shape this season as they have only lost a home game against Essex (3-2) and won their away games by substantial margins – against Bournemouth University (0-3) and University of Cambridge (0-3).

The Londoners upcoming game against Sussex is a chance to close the gap on the leaders and keep on fighting to top the table.

As the league stands right now Oxford are leading and Essex and UEL are battling for second place.

Sussex have been struggling recently with only a home win against University of Cambridge (3-0) and two losses against Essex (0-3) and University of Bournemouth (3-1).

UEL will be playing away this Wednesday, despite that it should not be a determining factor as they have won both the away games and only lost the game against Essex at home due to a lack of confidence in the last period that let Essex lead and triumph in the end.
