The University of East London’s Men’s Volleyball Team are hoping to maintain their perfect start to their 2017-18 Premier South season as they prepare to face University College London’s Men’s First Team on Wednesday 1st November at the Sports Dock.

Form

UEL, who are top of the league on nine points, are yet to drop a set this season and are aiming for a fourth consecutive league victory, having defeated Oxford University’s Men’s First Team away in their previous match 3-0, while their opponents UCL, who sit in fourth on six points, lost by 3 sets to 1 to The University of Essex’s Men’s First Team at home, in what was their first defeat of the season.

Fantastic Four

UEL are unbeaten in their last six matches between the two sides, a run stretching almost four years, which began in November 2013, and the last meeting between the two sides in February saw UEL triumph in straight sets over UCL at the Sports Dock. This was the host’s final league victory of last season, as the Blues lost their two remaining away games to The University of Exeter and Essex to surrender their title challenge and finish as runners-up.
