As UEL enter 2018, there is faith within they can stay up and beat the drop. There may be an injury concern for this game as Sean Wilson has a finger injury and might not be able to play which will be a big blow to their chances of a positive result for UEL.

Fresh Start

The UEL team have had a long winter break and have started training already. It is still in their hands whether they stay up and they have the players to do so. But the main challenge is to do it on a consistent basis rather than just phases of good form.

Although UEL are near the bottom and their opponents this week are leading the division by some way, it was a close game last time out. UEL lost 5-3 and they should be in high spirits due to this narrow loss only losing out in one game.

At the beginning of the season, UEL were short on players and had to rebuild a team so they already have done well to stay off the bottom. As the season enters the second half, UEL will need to push slightly further to gain the number of points for it to be a successful season.

Team News

With the availability of all four doubles members Ali Chin, Josh Teoh, Marco Eng and George Geaves, these are the key members of the team with Sean Wilson available as the only singles player.

This half of the season is crucial for UEL as at the end of the season, there are again graduations and players leaving which leaves the club in a huge amount of uncertainty. But only being able to control what the team can, they go into the game confident as ever to get a good result.
