UEL Take Herts

The East Londoners will be aiming to maintain their brilliant form, as Shella Tshela reports.

UEL women’s football team go into the match against University of Hertfordshire Women’s 2nd team looking to maintain their 100% record this season, having not lost any of their league and cup matches since March 2016.

For Hertfordshire, they will not just be hoping to gain a valuable three points but also aiming to avenge their defeat last time round. The two sides last met in a league fixture back in October with UEL recording a crushing 8-0 win. UEL will be going into this match on a back of a great 16-0 win against the University College London Women’s 2nd team and will hoping to extend their ruthless winning streak.

Solitary

Form does not seem to be on Hertfordshire 2nd’s side either with only one win in four, and losing the other three. However, that solitary win did come in their last fixture as they defeated Buckinghamshire New University 1st team 3-0.

Nonetheless, UEL women remain confident going into today’s game and will be hoping to put in another stellar performance; especially as today is ‘Big Blue Wednesday’. UEL’s Molly Gold Concepcion said: “It will be a great test for the team as so far we are on the good run in the league. It is also Big Blue Wednesday’which is always an exciting time to play with others great teams and it even more exciting when we manage to win the game and I am sure the girls will have a great game”.

Team News

Neither side have any injury issues of note and have a full squad of players at their disposal. Key to the match will be Watford Ladies’ Otesha Luletta as she looks to continue her fine form this season and will be aiming to add to her already impressive goal tally against today’s visitors.
