UEL Women Looking To Continue Unbeaten Run

Joshua Brown previews UEL women’s 1st team’s football match against City University…

University of East London Women’s 1st will be looking to keep the pressure on table topping Kent 1st when they face off against 5th place City University on Wednesday.

UEL go into the fixture looking to extend a run off three games unbeaten which would continue their fantastic start to the year.

City University have lost their previous two games with their last win coming on the 18th November. Having conceded 13 goals in the previous two games they will be hoping for an improvement against their London Rivals.

Pushing for title

The last time UEL faced City they handed out a 2-7 thrashing to their London rivals in what is still City’s worst defeat of the season

The east London side have managed seven goals in their last two games and with the third best form in the league will be looking to keep pushing for the title.

City meanwhile sit three points off the relegation zone although they have three games in hand on the teams around them. A goal difference of -17 after five games tells a story of their season so far as they look to build on their run of just one win this season.

A win could put UEL top of the BUCS South Eastern 3B league if results go their way. They currently sit level on points with Table topping Kent although the Canterbury side have two games in hand.
