Located in the centre of Stratford, Money Works gives debt advice and allows residents of Newham on low income to access credit loans.
Although the name might sound like your average loan company, Money Works pride themselves in being nothing like the sharks who trap customers in debt.
Initiated by Newham’s Mayor, Sir Robin Wales, funded by Newham London, and working with the London Community Credit Union, Money Works offer short term credit without exceptionally high interest or hidden charges. Employees are trained to assess applicants and to approve a loan only in accordance with the borrower’s ability to pay it back. Financial advice is also provided.
