Young Hammer set for Championship move?

Dean Ammi reports on a potential loan move for U23's West Ham player Ashley Fletcher.

Recent speculation off the pitch could see West Ham U23 forward, Ashley Fletcher sign a new deal with Championship side, Leeds United.

Fletcher was originally signed in the summer by the Hammers on a free transfer from Premier League heavyweights Manchester United.

Leeds are looking to loan the Englishman in the January transfer window, and Slaven Bilic may well give this move the green light with several first team strikers expected to return from injury within this time period.

Big Potential

Fletcher already has experience in the Football League, spending the last campaign on loan at Barnsley where he helped them achieve promotion.

This season, although he has found himself training with the first team, the majority of his football has come with the U23s. He has scored one goal in two games for the Development side, in a 3-0 win away to Stoke City. In addition, he has been capped for the England U20s.

With fellow recent arrival Toni Martinez also relishing his move to the club since signing for Terry Westley’s , 21-year-old Fletcher’s move to Leeds could potentially be highly beneficial for all parties involved.
