Bromley will be looking to make it three home clean sheets in a row on Saturday afternoon when they host a Gateshead side hoping to bounce back from defeat in their previous game. Dan Bentley previews the action.

Recent Form

Bromley are four games unbeaten and are four points off the top of the table. The Ravens have lost only one of their last five league games, and will look to keep the pressure on early league leaders Notts County.

The Tynesiders currently occupy 17th place in the table, only one point clear of the relegation zone, and will be travelling down from the Northeast hoping to come away with all three points, something they have found hard to come by so far in their return to the National League, winning only twice in their opening 12 league games.

One To Watch

Bromley striker Adam Marriott has six goals so far in a Bromley shirt, all of them coming in the last six games, and all of them coming in braces. The inform striker will be hoping to add to his tally this weekend.

Previous Meetings

The two sides have met in the National League on eight occasions, Bromley winning five of those, Gateshead two, and the other fixture ended in a goalless draw.

The most notable fixture came in the FA Trophy semi-final, played over two legs back in 2018. Bromley prevailed 4-3 on aggregate after a well fought 1-1 draw was played out between the two sides in the second leg, this came after an entertaining 3-2 win for Bromley in snowy conditions at Hayes Lane in the first leg.

Familiar Face

Bromley centre-half Chris Bush played for the northeast club back in the 2012-13 season, before being loaned out to Lincoln City and then Hereford United (Bromley’s next opponents). He made 20 appearances in all, netting on one occasion.
