Charlton host Sky Bet League One leaders Plymouth Argyle at The Valley on Saturday, and they will be hoping that their upturn in form since club legend Johnnie Jackson took over as interim manager continues.

The Addicks are unbeaten since Jackson took over on 21st October, winning three out of the four league games to pull themselves up the table and out of the relegation zone.

Team News

Both Akin Famewo and Jayden Stockley will miss the clash through suspension, but the squad will be boosted by the return of Chris Gunter and Conor Washington from international duty after the pair missed last Saturday’s win away at Burton Albion.

The game will, however, come too soon for Adam Matthews (calf) and Jonathan Leko (hip), who join long-term absentees Sam Lavelle (groin), Ryan Inniss (quad) and Jake Forster-Caskey (ACL) on the sidelines.

Table-toppers

The visitors have been in scintillating form so far this season, with their only loss coming on the opening day of the season against Rotherham, and as such find themselves on a 16-game unbeaten run in the league.

A 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in midweek saw them through to the second-round of the FA Cup, while their last league game away at Accrington Stanley saw them win 4-1.

Capacity Crowd

Over 25,500 home fans are expected to turn up to the ground for the game as a result of Charlton’s #FillTheValley campaign which is aiming to fill the ground for the big game, with the hashtag successfully getting to the number one trending spot in the UK on Twitter.

Plymouth will be backed by a 3,000 strong ‘Green Army’, ensuring there will be an exceptional atmosphere for the game.
