The Daggers travelled to Lancashire looking to put a run of three straight defeats behind them, and got off to the perfect start, as Angelo Balanta seized on a mistake to fire the east London side into the lead after only 18 minutes.

However, the home side levelled before half-time, with National League top scorer, Danny Rowe netting his 26th goal of the season from a powerful freekick. Peter Taylor’s side hung on in the 2nd half to claim a valuable point away from home.

League Position

The draw means Dagenham move up one place to 18th in the National League, and extended the gap between them and the relegation places to nine points.

Daggers Against Racism Day

The Daggers will be celebrating their annual ‘Daggers Against Racism Day’, a day that celebrates diversity within football. The Club’s Managing Director, Steve Thompson spoke ahead of the event:

“I am very proud of our long-standing partnership with the community in which we all live and the national recognition that we have achieved through these days.

“They bring together the many diverse cultures where we live and demonstrate our commitment to eradicating discrimination in whatever form it may take,” he said.

Barrow’s Form

Dagenham’s opponents are currently 11th in the National League, but are without a win in their last two matches. Last weekend Ian Evatt’s side were beaten at Holker Street by a Boreham Wood side who have struggled recently. The North Londoners went into a 2-0 lead before Jack Hindle pulled a consolation goal back before half time.

Barrow Last Six: L, W, W, W, D, L.

Previous Encounter

The Daggers have already beaten Evatt’s side this season in the National League back in September, as former Daggers striker, Elliot Romain grabbed the only goal of the game at Holker Street with seconds remaining.

Absentees

The east London side will be hoping to welcome back Conor Wilkinson, after the striker limped off after 45 minutes against Dover and subsequently missed the trips to Chesterfield and AFC Fylde. Angelo Balanta looked to have picked up an injury against the Coasters, so Peter Taylor may choose to rest the former QPR forward.
