Peter Taylor’s men will be relishing the prospect of taking on the Welsh outfit, who have only claimed one victory in their last five matches in the National League, resulting in manager Graham Barrow’s departure from the Racecourse Ground earlier this week.

His replacement, 42-year-old Bryan Hughes is no stranger to the Red Dragons, having played 97 times for the Club between 1994 and 1997.

However, this is only the former midfielder’s second managerial role, with his previous experience coming in 2014, where he was joint-manager at Northern Premier League side, Scarborough Athletic.

Recent Form

The Daggers go in to the match off the back of a 1-1 draw against relegation threatened Aldershot Town, where in-form striker Conor Wilkinson grabbed his eighth goal in 12 matches since joining the Club from Gillingham.

The East London side saw their away fixture with Maidenhead postponed last weekend due to poor weather, with Wrexham’s match against Boreham Wood also suffering the same fate.

Earlier In The Season

The Welsh side were victorious the last time the two sides met in the National League back in October at Victoria Road. Luke Young scored a spectacular 25-yard strike before Brad Walker netted an own goal just before the break.

Luke Summerfield secured the victory with a coolly placed second half penalty.

The Daggers will be more optimistic about picking up a result in North Wales, as Peter Taylor’s side are a completely different outfit in comparison to the side that Wrexham faced in October.

Returning players

Angelo Balanta is set to return, after the forward sustained an ankle injury which saw him miss the draw against Aldershot.

Liam Gordon will be in line to start in defence after the club announced last weekend that the 19-year-old has extended his stay at Victoria Road by a further 18 months.

The match will kick off at 3pm on Saturday at the Racecourse Ground.
