The Daggers will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they take on Gateshead at the Chigwell Construction Stadium this Saturday.

It’s almost been a month without a win for the East London side, as they slipped to within six points of the relegation places as the likes of Braintree and Maidenhead picked up vital wins to close the gap.

Out of Sorts

Dagenham on the other hand slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Wrexham on Saturday, with substitute Scott Beavon grabbing the only goal of the match in North Wales.

Peter Taylor’s side can consider themselves fortunate to have not conceded more, as goalkeeper Elliot Justham pulled off a string of incredible save to keep his side in the match until the final whistle.

Taylor tinkered with his starting XI once again last weekend, as Jack Munns was left out of the squad, despite the side lacking creativity due to the absent Angelo Balanta, who is nursing a hamstring injury and is unlikely to feature against The Heed.

Consistently Inconsistent

Gateshead have struggled for consistency since Steve Watson departed the International Stadium on the 10th January. The Heed are yet to taste defeat under new boss Ben Clark, who secured the role on Tyneside after impressing during his short period as caretaker manager.

Last time out, Clark’s men drew 0-0 against struggling Havant & Waterlooville but the former Sunderland defender was happy with his sides defensive work.

The home side are expected to be without Balanta once again, as the forward has struggled to overcome a hamstring problem.

Taylor alas has a decision to make on his three central defenders, as Ben Goodliffe played well despite defeat against Wrexham, as he replaced veteran, Nathan Smith in the line-up.

The game will take place at the Chigwell Construction Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
