The Daggers approach the weekend buoyed by the 6-1 thrashing of Aldershot last time out, which saw new signing Ben House notch a brace on his debut.

Sam Deering, another recent acquisition, shone from midfield, dictating the match and opening up the Shots defence with sharp, incisive, passing, as the new-look Daggers side provided an unstoppable performance.

The victory sees Peter Taylor’s side remain in 12th place, now just three points adrift of the promotion playoff positions.

The Hosts

Fylde meanwhile, have endured an inconsistent start to the campaign and currently sit in 20th place after winning just one of their last five National Lague matches, including a 3-1 defeat away to Solihull Moors last Saturday.

The Lancashire club did, however, earn safe passage to the second round of the FA Cup after beating Nantwich Town earlier this month.

The Manager:

Jim Bentley replaced Dave Challinor in October, leaving his post at League Two Morecambe to join the National League side on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Prior to his departure last month, Bentley had been the longest-serving boss in the football league having joined Morecambe in 2011.

The 43-year old enjoyed a playing career first at Telford and then at The Shrimps before taking over the club’s managerial duties on a full-time basis.

Ones To Watch:

Ryan Croasdale:

The midfielder joined Fylde for a club-record fee of £50,000 in 2018 after a promising spell at National League North side Kidderminster.

Reared in the Preston academy, Croasdale left Deepdale to join Sheffield United, but with game-time at a premium, the 25-year old was released in 2016.

The former England C international saw his career rejuvenated at Kidderminster, convincing Fylde to stump up a major fee for his signing. A smart midfielder with an eye for goal, Croasdale leads the Fylde goalscoring charts with five strikes this season.

Jordan Williams:

Williams represented a major coup for the Coaster when he put pen to paper on a two year deal at Mill Farm this summer following his release from Rochdale.

The Warrington native made 24 League One appearances last season but opted for a move to the National League following the expiry of his contract.

Selfless and extremely hard-working, the 26-year old has already started to live up to his League One pedigree with five goals thus far for Fylde.

Danny Rowe:

The epitome of legend status, Rowe has been clinically leading the line for the Coasters ever since his arrival in August 2014.

Rowe notched 35 goals in his debut season before finding the net 31 times in his second. Those two excellent campaigns were followed by an even greater explosion that saw the Fylde native score 47 goals in all competitions, firing his side to National League North promotion.

While some players struggle with the step up to the National League, Rowe took it in his stride winning Player of the Season in his debut year before repeating the accolade last season, while also scoring the decisive winner in the FA Trophy finale against Leyton Orient.

143 goals in 114 Fylde appearances as well as four so far this season marks Rowe as the Coaster’s ultimate danger man and one of the most dangerous forwards in the league.
