The London band, Elephant Tree, consisting of members Jack Townley (Guitar and Vocals), Peter Holland (Bass and Vocals), Riley MacIntyre (Sitar and Vocals) and Sam Hart (Percussion) will be taking to the stage of Oslo, Hackney this Saturday.

The band have been described by Metal Injection as “the masters of combining gloomy atmosphere with head-bobbing grooves”. They have spent the last 5 years providing their heavy but also melodic sound to audiences all over the UK.

Doom, Metal And Stoner

Although the sound style of Elephant Tree is difficult to class under any particular sub-genre of Metal, they have been most compared to “Doom Metal” and “Stoner Rock”. However, Elephant Tree’s sound ranges from Blues to Progressive.

Elephant Tree released their first album in November 2014 titled “Theia” and followed up with a self-titled album two years later in the year of 2016, which brought the success of their most streamed song on Spotify “Echoes”.

In April 2020 their latest album “Habits” was released, which is what the upcoming gig in Oslo supports. However, the gig had to be delayed until a year later because of COVID restrictions.
