End of Season Good Form

UEL are looking to continue this excellent form as they play second place Queen Mary 2nd team this week at SportsDock. Ali Chin reports.

With the season coming to an end, UEL have hit some good form with back-to-back wins for the first time this season, both wins coming against Queen Mary 3rd team.

Two wins from their final two games could shake up the table as UEL could finish as high as runners-up if results go in their favour as well.

Confidence

As usual, Sean Wilson performed to his normal high standards as he only conceded a combined six points in two sets to win in a completely one-sided game. With a 7-1 win from the team, it will provide a confidence booster as they set to continue in the same manner.

Playing at home should provide some extra incentive for UEL as their upcoming game is their final home game of the season. Not only the final home game of the season, it is the final home game for Josh Teoh, Marco Eng and Ali Chin as they are all set to graduate this year.

The extra incentive for these three players is to win their final home game of the season and provide one last performance for UEL.

In-Form

Having won two games in a row will only help and they will aim to replicate this stellar performance in order to grab a win.

With potential to leap-frog their opponents in second with any win after spending so long down near the rear end of the table has just proved how important these two wins have been for The Blues.

Chin and Eng will be hoping to continue their excellent doubles form together, having won eight out of their last 10 matches together.

With the season coming to an end, UEL have hit some good form with back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

Looking Forward

Queen Mary 2nd team are on the back of their own good win against City University. A comfortable 6-2 triumph should provide a competitive match and a win for either side will be well deserved.

UEL will be looking up to table as only three points separates the team in second and the team in fifth place.

With the season quickly drawing to a close, it is in UEL’s hands on where they finish in the table.
