Leyton Orient’s final home game of the season sees them welcome mid-table Maidenhead United to Brisbane Road in the Vanarama National League on Tuesday night.

In their previous outing, Macauley Bonne’s first-half header was enough to see the O’s edge out play-off chasing Wrexham in front of 5,000 spectators on Saturday.

Justin Edinburgh’s side come into the match in 13th place with 57 points. They have won 15, drawn 12, and lost 17 of their 44 matches with a goal difference of 1.

A victory for Orient would see them climb above their opponents Maidenhead into the top half of the table with one fixture remaining.

The Opposition:

As for Maidenhead, they arrive in E10 just one place and one point above Orient in 12th. They have won 15, drawn 13, and lost 16 of their 44 matches with a goal difference of -5.

In their last match, Alan Devonshire’s men fell to a 1-0 defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge with Michael Cheek’s near-post header making all the difference.

A win for United would see them move four points clear of Orient and guarantee a top-half finish with one game left to play.

Ones to Watch:

For Orient, winger James Brophy has become one of Orient’s stand out figures since joining the club from Swindon Town on a permanent deal in January. The 23-year-old has pace, skill, and trickery causing problems for opposition defences. Brophy has scored twice for the O’s during his time with the club, which included a three-month loan spell in 2017, with his latest goal coming during the 3-0 win against Woking on March 24th.

For Maidenhead, top scorer Harry Pritchard has netted 13 goals this season with the most recent coming in the 2-1 win over Sutton United on April 17th. The wide player has made over 150 appearances for The Magpies and will be hoping to add to his goal tally to consolidate United’s place in the top half of the National League.
