The Opposition

Having been promoted last season, Kennington have made an excellent start to life as a step five club. Currently 11th, two spots above Fisher, any doubts over the whether they could make the step up have been put to bed as they sit comfortably above the relegation spots.

Fisher’s defence will certainly have their hands full. With Kennington striker Gary Lockyer in sensational form this season, the striker has 18 goals in 15 appearances so far this season.

This is the second time Fisher and Kennington have met this season as Fisher manager Ajay recalls “Kennington are a very good side who came up from step six last season. We played back in November before the lockdown in the vase (FA Vase) and they beat us on pens.”

Exciting Attacking Play

In front of goal Fisher don’t boast an attack with a record quite like Lockyer’s. Forwards Christian Udo and Lee Weemes for the Fish only have six and four goals so far this campaign.

Boss Ajay is actually most excited about recent signing from Leatherhead Matt Nezual. The new striker has hit the ground running for the Fish, picking up a couple of goals in cup competitions in as many starts. The Fisher manager is feeling positive, as he comments “We are looking very attractive going forward at the minute with new signing Matt Nezual and also Isaac Thompson hitting form at the right time.”

With Fisher five points behind the newly promoted side, Ajay and his players will be desperate to reduce the gap and push towards the top-half finish they were looking for at the start of the season.
