Blackheath currently sit third in the National League 1 table – Eight points behind fellow east London side Old Elthamians.

After playing 22 games so far this season Blackheath have picked up 14 victories, drawing only one game but losing seven in the process.

They are a point ahead of fourth place Rosslyn Park who defeated Blackheath at the beginning on the month.

Since the turn of the year Blackheath’s good form that put them in position for promotion has diminished. Six games into the second half of the season they have lost four and won two.

Recovery

Blackheath recovered from a defeat to Cambridge a fortnight ago with a strong showing away at Birmingham Moseley, winning 17-27 last weekend.

They come up against a side in Caldy that are sitting just two places above the relegation zone having struggled for consistency for much of the season.

Having played a game less than Blackheath a win could take them up to eleventh place.

Positives

The positives for Blackheath are despite there recent inconsistency in regards to performances and results the chances of catching second place Ampthill and top of the league Old Elthamians are well within there reach.
