Brisbane Road has been the home ground of English football league (EFL) club Leyton Orient since 1937. The ground has a listed capacity of 9,271 and its highest recorded attendance was 34,345 for an FA Cup match between Leyton Orient and West Ham United in 1964.

Brisbane Road has seen several developments throughout its history, terracing around the pitch was improved in 1952, 1959 and 1960. After promotion to the First Division in 1962 an extension was added to the main stand to accommodate their growing fanbase.  In 1978 the West Stand was converted to all seating and the South Stand was built in 1999.

Financial issues caused the club to sell large parts of the ground to property developers hence why there are hotels and flats overlooking the pitch at corners of the ground.

Currently known as the Breyer Group Stadium, Leyton Orient’s stadium has been known by other names over the years for sponsorship reasons. Its previous owner, legendary boxing promoter Barry Hearn, named it after his company, Matchroom while he was in charge.
