Ilford are back in action this Saturday, playing behind closed doors away to Sporting Bengal United. With both sides feeling good about their midweek results.

How It stands

The Foxes will be looking to build on Wednesdays 1-1 draw against league leaders Cockfosters as they head to Mile End Stadium to visit Sporting Bengal United. The Foxes are still looking for just their second win this season, but Wednesday’s performance will have given them great confidence coming into this one.

Sporting Bengal come into this full of confidence themselves, having picked up an excellent 3-1 victory Tuesday night against 5th place Stansted, leaving them 13th in the league.

Ilford find themselves two places behind Sporting Bengal in the league, having played a game less and will undoubtedly be looking to leapfrog their opponents who have faired similarly to the Foxes, picking up two wins in their opening seven.

A positive result for either team would see them climb towards the top half of the league, with both teams looking to build on the momentum gained from their midweek performances.

Ones To Watch

Ilford will be looking to their attacking frontline in Dimi Christou, Dion Lewis-Kirwan, top scorer Yemi Adelani, and Wednesday’s goal scorer Kargbo. Who all played brilliantly for the Foxes midweek, with constant pressure and pace causing Cockfosters problems all night with the only negative that they didn’t score more than one!

Sporting Bengal have two in form this season in Joel Ramos and Chaka Barnett, who have come up with 6 and 5 goals respectively. Most impressive is Ramos’ record having only started 4 of his 10 appearances. A super-sub in the ranks for Sporting Bengal?

A reminder again that this game is BEHIND CLOSED DOORS.
