Justin Robinson is a British offensive-minded basketball player born in Brixton, London on 17th October 1987.

Robinson attended Blair Academy in Blairstown, New Jersey before moving to Rider College as a youngster. The 33-year-old did not attend college to further his education.

Standing at six feet two, the Shooting Guard plays for London Lions in the British Basketball league having joined the roster in 2017.

He started his basketball career in 2011 with Maroussi and is the definition of a journeyman having also played for Apollon Limassol in Cyprus, Falcon KC Szombathely in Hungary, Kolossos Rodou in Greece, and Aries Trikala also in Greece just to name a few.

Early Starter

At the tender age of 16, he played four games in the Junior National League averaging 9.8 points per game; 2.8 field goals made, 1.8 assists, and 16.7 percentage at the three-point line. Defensively he averaged 0.5 blocks, 2.3 steals and 3.5 rebounds.

At 24 in the 2012/13 season he played four games in the EuroBasket averaging 2.3 points per game, 0.5 field goals made, 0.8 assists, 14.3 percentage at the three-point line and 0.3 points made. Defensively he averaged 0 blocks, 0.3 steals and one rebound per game.

Roaring Lion

In the 19/20 Robinson played 13 games for the Lions where he posted an average of 16.2 points per game. He shot 42% from the field. In regards to rebounds per game, he averaged 3.4 as well as 0 blocks per game. His assists per game last season was 4.8 down from the season before which was 4.9. In the 18/19 season, he averaged 19.2 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game.

His overall average in the British Basketball League is 16.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.

Robinson set a career-record for assists in a British Basketball game on October 10th, 2017 by dishing out 13 assists in London Lions 115-74 home win against Manchester Giants. He also had 19 points, four rebounds and three steals.

On April 4th, 2019, Robinson set his career-high in points in a British Basketball game by scoring 35 points for London Lions in a convincing 99-80 away victory against Newcastle.

That day, he was amazing throughout making six rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. He shot five out of eight from two, seven out of 12 from three, shooting at 60% from the field overall. He also shot four out of five from the free-throw line.

The 33-year old recently signed a contract extension with the Lions and told the London Lions website: “I feel really excited to be back at the Lions for my fourth year. This year is even more exciting with the team playing in Europe and it’s a massive opportunity to showcase the BBL and British talent.

“With the team assembled, I think we have a great chance of making noise. I’m thankful for the opportunity to be home with the Lions once again.”
