Kickboxing superstar Gokhan ‘The Rebel’ Saki is set to make his UFC return when he faces  against Saparbek Sadarov in a light-heavyweight clash live in the O2 Arena in March.

Fan favourite, Saki made his successful UFC debut back in 2017 where he was able to knock out former top light heavyweight prospect Henrique da Silva in the first round.

‘The Rebel’ has 83 wins to his name and is considered to be one of the greatest kickboxers of all time. winning many championships in top promotions such as K-1  and Glory. Saki is hoping to make as big as an impact in MMA as he did in kickboxing.

Knocked out

The last time Saki was in the  octagon was in defeat after he was knocked out by Ultimate Fighter 23 runner-up Khalil Rountree back in July 2018. Saki, who is currently holding a MMA record of 1-2, is hoping to show the world his MMA record does not mean anything and prove that he is a true contender in the light-heavyweight division.

Saki’s opponent, Russian-born Saparbek Sadarov is no easy challenge. All eight of his wins are stoppages with seven of them coming in the first round.

Even though he is struggling in the UFC currently being 0-2 in the promotion, this is a great chance for Sadarov to show off his skill against one of the most popular combat athletes of all time.

This is a great opportunity for both these fighters to prove to the world they deserve to be in the UFC.
