Thursday night sees London Lions take on Manchester Giants at the Copper Box.

The Lions, fourth in the British Basketball League, are seeking their third win in a row in the BBL after their recent 87-72 away victory against the Cheshire Phoenix. Ninth-placed Manchester will go into the away game at the Copper Box on a poor run of six straight defeats.

The Lions were in control in the home game against Cheshire and fought off a comeback attempt by the Phoenix in the second quarter. Jaron Lane will be looking to continue his fine form, after scoring 19 points.

The Giants are now winless in the last five BBL games after they lost 99-90 on the road to the Bristol Flyers. Stefan Gill and Ingus Bankevics led the team with 27 and 25 points, but it wasn’t enough to break their winless streak.

The London Lions will go into the game as favourites as they are in form and won both their meetings with the Giants last season.

Home fans will be expecting a first win at The Copperbox since they saw the defeat of Leeds Force a month ago. Head coach Nigel Lloyd will look for team top scorer Williams and Brian Voelkel to take care of the point, and hope for another strong defensive performance.

Tip off time is 19:30.
