Orient head into the tie on the back of a fantastic 2-0 victory away to Wrexham. Late goals from Macauley Bonne and James Brophy saw the O’s extend their lead at the top of the National League to three points.

Next up for Edinburgh’s side is a visit from 16th place Aldershot Town. With only one defeat in 21 league ties, Orient will look to secure their fourth consecutive victory.

Midfielder Charlie Lee remains on the side-line after picking up a minor Medical Collateral Ligament (MCL) injury against AFC Fylde.

Sam Ling and Alex Lawless have both recovered from their minor injuries, as they look to force their way back into the squad. Both have returned to training and will now look to get back to match fitness.

Injuries to goalkeepers Sam Sargeant and Charlie Grainger saw Arthur Janata named on the bench against Wrexham.

Misfiring Shots

Gary Waddock’s side have endured a tough start to the season sitting in 16th place. The Shots have already lost as many games as they did in the whole of last season.

Goals from Tyler Smith and Jack Hindle were enough to see Barrow take all three points away from The EBB Stadium last Saturday.

With only one victory in their last seven games, Aldershot are struggling to find consistency. Waddock confirmed that both Scott Rendell and George Fowler will be side-lined until the New Year after picking up knee injuries in the past week. Nick Arnold will also miss the tie through injury.

New signing Reece Grant featured in the second-half against Barrow. The former Braintree forward will look to push for a start at his new club after signing an 18-month contract last Friday.

Safe Hands

Goalkeeper Dean Brill has been a star for Justin Edinburgh’s side. With nine clean sheets already in the National League, Brill has conceded just 13 goals in 21 games. The 32-year-old was the goalkeeping coach at Orient upon Edinburgh’s appointment, but has proven a key player since being drafted into the squad.

The former Luton Town stopper made some key saves in the away trip to Wrexham, keeping his side in the game before Bonne and Brophy snatched the victory.

For Aldershot, Reece Grant will look to start his first game for his new club after joining last Friday. The 23-year old signs from Braintree, having bagged five goals already this season in the National League.

With a knee injury forcing Scott Rendell to miss out, the Aldershot faithful will be looking to Grant to grab the goals.
